BRCA 10IC & GT8
Within this section we run two classes of on-road circuit racing.
The first is 1/10th IC Circuit, featuring highly developed 1/10 scale racing cars powered by 2.11cc nitro engines. These precision machines are manufactured by leading brands such as Xray, Serpent, Mugen and Shepherd, and are widely available through model shops across the UK. Other respected manufacturers also compete in the class, including Capricorn (Italy) and Infinity (Japan).
The second class is GT8 On-Road Circuit Racing. These cars are larger than the 1/10th IC machines and run realistic GT-style bodyshells, giving them a distinctive full-bodied appearance on track. Manufacturers such as Xray, Serpent and Capricorn produce competitive GT8 platforms.
Both classes compete on purpose-built tarmac circuits located throughout the UK.
Our National Championship typically runs from April through to September, with one round per month held at different venues. Outside of the National series there are also regular club meetings, providing plenty of opportunities for drivers of all levels to get involved and enjoy racing.
Race Procedure
National race meetings are held over two days.
Saturday is dedicated to open practice, running from 09:00 until 18:00, unless local venue restrictions apply.
Sunday is Race Day. If competitors are unable to attend Saturday practice, a free practice session is available on Sunday morning before racing begins.
The racing programme begins with qualifying rounds, which determine the starting order for the finals that decide the overall results.
