The final round of the 1/8th RallyX Championship was concluded at RWMCC, after a number of years hiatus from hosting a national, the infamous club was back on the calendar. The new layout also presented many a challenge for the 125+ strong field with large jump sections on an old school surface. After 5 rounds of qualifying the top 3 were: TQ driver Elliott Boots (Sworkz) followed by Erik Lykke (Agama) in 2nd and Neil Cragg (AE) in 3rd.

Semi B
Semi Final B kicked off with a battle at the front between Erik Lykke (Agama) and Billy Grindley (Sworks), as the pair broke away from the rest of the field. Close behind were William Skidmore (XRAY) and Simon Reeves (Sworks), who stayed with the top two in the opening laps.
However, midway through the race, Billy encountered a mechanical issue that forced him to slow down. Despite the setback, he managed to hold on to 2nd place with a determined drive.
Erik maintained pace and took the win of Semi B. William Skidmore crossed the line in 3rd, followed by Simon Reeves in 4th. Graham Alsop (HB) secured 5th, while Jonny Skidmore (XRAY) and Holger Lykke (Agama) rounded out the top seven in 6th and 7th respectively.
Semi A
Elliott Boots (Sworks) put on a dominant display in Semi Final A, leading from start to finish. While Lee Martin (XRAY) briefly challenged him in the opening laps, Elliott quickly found his rhythm and pulled away, setting the fastest pace of both semi-finals.
Lee Martin finished in 2nd place and maintained a solid gap to the rest of the field.
Behind them, Lewis Jones (WIRC) delivered a strong performance to take 3rd, followed closely by James Le Pavoux (Sworks) in 4th. Kevin Brunsden (Agama) secured 5th, with Ben Simpson (AE) finishing 6th and Jack Willetts (WIRC) rounding out the top seven.
Main Final
The main final started with Elliott Boots on pole, and he began to pull away from Erik early on. However, an error from Elliott allowed Erik to close the gap. Unfortunately, Erik made a few mistakes of his own, and Elliott regained his lead. Erik then suffered a mechanical issue and had a breakage which when re-entering the race left him 5 laps down.
The main final was very close throughout the 45 minute duration, with separate battles from 2nd to 4th and 5th to 8th. The battle for 2nd, 3rd, and 4th had already intensified between Will, Lee, and Billy, who swapped positions throughout the final.
Will Skidmore maintained podium position until his final fuel stop where he unfortunately had a flame out in the pits, putting him back behind Billy and Lee. With five minutes remaining, Will experienced another cut and, sadly, did not re-enter the race. This would allow Lee Martin to finally end in 2nd place, with Billy in a best ever 3rd place - a fantastic achievement.
The second battle with Lewis Jones, James Le Pavoux, Joni Skimore was tough fought, with a few crashes between the three this allowed Graham Alsop and Ben Simpson to join in the battle for position for the last 15 minutes of the final. Eventually Joni was to come out in 4th, James 5th, Ben 6th, Graham 7th and Lewis in 8th.
However, up front it was once again Elliott Boots who secured the win, taking victory in the final and completing a clean sweep of TQ and win for all five nationals this year – and a thoroughly deserved National Champion for 2025.
