Welcome to the BRCA 1/8th Stock Cars section, where we race 1/8th scale versions of the iconic full-size Brisca F1 Stock Cars.
Our scaled-down machines are purpose-built for competitive oval racing. Each car features:
A welded steel chassis
A painted plastic bodyshell styled after full-size F1 Stock Cars
RC servos controlling steering and throttle
A 3.5cc nitro-fuelled engine producing approximately 2–3 bhp
Rear-wheel drive via a belt-driven single beam axle
These cars may be small in scale, but they deliver serious performance and action-packed racing.
The season runs from March through to October, with meetings held across the UK — and occasionally in Holland — at purpose-built oval circuits.
Tracks are typically:
30–40 metres in length
Tarmac surfaced
Surrounded by steel plate safety barriers
Contact is not only permitted — it is part of the sport. All cars are equipped with heavy-duty steel front and rear bumpers, designed to move competitors off the racing line in a bid to make progress.
Drivers are graded according to ability. Higher-graded drivers start from the rear of the grid, ensuring competitive and entertaining racing at every level.
The BRCA 1/8th Stock Cars are pleased to announce the 2026 National Championship calendar.
National meetings follow a slightly different format to regular club events:
Races start by driver grade
Four rounds of qualifying
Each qualifying race lasts 4 minutes
The top two qualifiers progress directly to the A Final
Remaining drivers compete in quarter and semi-finals
The 5-minute A Final decides the overall winner
Whether you are a seasoned oval racer or new to the formula, 1/8th Stock Cars offer close, competitive and highly entertaining racing throughout the season.
