Aldershot BRCA 2wd On-Road National
The second round of this years BRCA 2wd On-road Championship took place at the Aldershot circuit (Demon Raceway) in Badshot Lea, Farnham.
F1
In qualifying it was the Glen Westwood, on his home track, who took three of the four rounds of qualifying with his Schumacher to seal pole position. Behind him it was Luke Lee and his X-Ray with the other round win and a second. Then it was Michael Lee's Schumacher with a second and third from James Greener's X-Ray with a second and a fourth and then it was Rob Chaldecott lining up fourth.
The B final saw a win for Marlon Mckulsky from David Withall and Marcus Curran. The first A final saw Glen take the first place from Michael and Luke. The second final saw a win for Luke from Michael and Glen which meant tie-break time with all three on the same points. Without a win, it was Michael in third with fastest time to decide the overall win which went to Luke over Glen. All of which, leaves Luke in an early championship lead over Glen and Michael.
FWD
In qualifying, it was fastest time that decided pole in favour of Schumacher's Andy Murray wover X-Ray's Ben Cosgrove, both with a first and a second. Lining up third was defending champion, Ben Moorey, with his Schumacher (first and third) and round one runner-up, Colin Jackson, lined up fourth with his Awesomatix (first and fourth).
The leg of the A final saw a win for Andy from Ben M, Ben C and Colin. The second leg saw things changed around, with Adam Southgate taking the win from sixth on the grid from Andy with William Everett taking third from seventh on the grid. So it was Andy who took the overall win from Ben C and Schumacher's William Everett.
This leaves Ben M as the early championship leader from Andy, Colin and Ben C.
Top Under 17 Junior was Daniel Robins and Top Under 13 driver was Alfie Hart.
