The fourth round of the 2025 season was held at the technical Cotswolds circuit on the 12th/13th July.

A very hot dry weekend forecast saw the racers welcomed by 33°C temperatures on the Saturday! Grip was good with some remaining from the 1/8 meeting the previous weekend. Lap times were competitive with the only trackside hazard coming  from the local wasp population.

Sunday morning’s Drivers  briefing was followed by a short  session for those unable to practice on Saturday. Then it was straight in to the qualifying heats.

This was a close one. Initially Dev led off after Paul had a mishap at the start. Thereafter Paul clawed his back but then had a flame out. Dev then had engine issues but held on to take the win just 13 seconds ahead of Nigel with Nigel and Mark both finishing on 57 laps.

1st - Devendra Mahatme (Capricorn)

2nd - Nigel Philpott (Capricorn)

3rd - Mark Owen (X-Ray)

B final 1/10

Jerome Evans started from pole and for the first 10 minutes maintaining a 3 second gap over Dev in second. A rear belt failure dropped Jerome down the field allowing Dev to take the lead with Jim second.

John Russell was lapping faster as the race went on and took the third podium place just 1 second ahead of Frank Noel.

A Final GT8 E

As there were only 2 drivers Mark Green was racing against the clock as he took all three legs fairly comfortably with Neal in second.

1st - Mark Green (Serpent)

2nd - Neal Vater

A Final 1/10

Richard snatched the lead from Matt early on with Craig following closely. Before the race could settle in to a pattern Matt and Richard suffered either engine or mechanical issues dropping both down the field.  Craig then took over the lead with a smooth Dave Spashett trying to chase him down. Jen, Peter, and Mathew Baker also had problems allowing Ollie Williams and Ollie King to move up the field. Mark Boothman was last after the first lap but drove superbly eventually taking a deserved 3rd place. Craig Nutting however was lapping the fastest and deserved the win , especially after suffering bad luck in his previous two A finals. He finished 4 laps ahead of Dave with Mark a further 17 seconds behind.

1st - Craig Nutting (Infinity)

2nd - David Spashett (Shepherd)

3rd - Mark Boothman (Shepherd)

A good weekend’s racing with very fast lap times due the heat and high grip conditions. The next round is at the Wombwell circuit in South Yorkshire on the weekend of the 30th/31st August.
